What these Rhode Island records tell you
These selected registrations showed VALID status in the Rhode Island public lookup. They cover different services: poured concrete, coatings and repair, or cutting. Registration does not certify a concrete specialty or prove permission for public-sidewalk work. Match the business and registration number to the written contract, then check current status, the complete scope and local approvals. This is a small selection, not the full state roster.
Check each business with RI Contractors Registration and Licensing Board's official registration search. A listing is not a workmanship rating, a verified customer review or confirmation that the business participates in our referral service. We do not independently verify insurance; request current documentation directly.

Choose the right concrete service in Rhode Island
This selection includes an installer, a coating and repair business, and a concrete-cutting specialist. A company that cuts an opening or applies a coating is not automatically a choice for pouring a new driveway. Read each profile's advertised services before requesting a match.
For a new patio, ask about demolition, drainage, base preparation, reinforcement, finish and curing. For an overlay or coating, ask how the existing slab will be assessed, how cracks and moisture will be handled, and what the proposed system can and cannot repair. See our patio project guide for installation questions.
Check permits for the property and street connection
Providence lists a separate sidewalk-contractor license, physical-alteration permit and road-opening permit on its Public Works forms page. State registration alone does not establish approval for work on a public sidewalk or road connection. Confirm the relevant process with the city before scheduling demolition.
For Warwick properties, start with the city's building forms and residential submission checklist. Ask Building and Public Works which reviews apply to the complete project, including drainage and street access. Providence requirements do not automatically apply to Warwick.
Sources checked October 8, 2026. Confirm current requirements and contractor availability before hiring. Listed services are business claims, not independent workmanship assessments.
Give each bidder the same project brief
Measure the existing surface and describe the intended use. Include photographs of cracks, pooling water, changes in level, street access and anything that must remain usable during the work. Ask for demolition, disposal, base preparation, drainage, reinforcement, finish and curing protection to be identified in the written scope. Design requirements should come from the approved plans and project conditions.
Use our concrete calculator once dimensions are established, and our national cost guides for planning context. They are not local bids. Ask what could change the price and who approves changes.
Request a project match
We review requests and seek up to three suitable contractors. Imported records do not establish participation, confirmed service areas or a guaranteed response. A contractor claim or manual business-contact check is needed before a match can be fulfilled.
